Doves Landing School is set in a uniquely captivating academic site set in the heart of Palm Desert.
Children from Kindergarten through High School rapidly advance academically and develop their individual capabilities. High school students enjoy direct access to College of the Desert's concurrent enrollment program, and can attend college courses for dual college and high school credit.
The Abraham Lincoln-style small schools, micro-school concept, of older children coming alongside younger ones, develops leaders and inspires children to try their very best. Field Study
The Doves Landing School program includes considerable hands-on, outdoor study and work settings. Our staff takes advantage of our world-renowned beautiful views and weather, offering children traditional academic studies outdoors. Biology, botany, physical sciences, geology, and more, are studied in our surrounding locale. Horseback riding and swimming lessons are examples of outdoor specialty offerings for all students K-12.
Academic Program​
Often affectionately referred to as the Abraham Lincoln-style micro-school, the current program, based upon its award-winning prototype, provides rigorous academics in the setting that teaches and encourages healthy relationships between students of all ages. The full academic offerings of English/Language Arts, Math, Science, History, Music, Fine Arts, Foreign Language, and Physical Education ensures that a child's natural interest area is included in the curriculum.
